Treasured guidance from Sensei ...Here's a passage that touches me and never fails to inspire me when I'm down. It's from a great friend of Sensei, Mr. Chingiz T. Aitmatov, a Russian writer. Many of you may know him. He wrote in the preface to the dialogue with Ikeda Sensei:
"The theme of the preface can be best explained as “Beside SGI President
Ikeda’s Bonfire.” I am a traveler seeking the Way in life. In my search, I have
discovered a warmly glowing light.
I found that that light was actually a bonfire. And I discovered somebody
sitting beside that bonfire. I went toward him and saw that he was President
Ikeda. [Though I was anxious whether he would allow me to sit beside the
fire,] I greeted him. Then he asked me, “Just where have you been wandering
all this time?” I answered, “Mine has been a long and steep road. I have met
with many incidents and accidents along the way. I have tasted the pain of
life. And now I have met you. I have finally found the person I had been
seeking.” So saying, I went closer to President Ikeda."「在在诸佛土、常与师俱生。」
