Treasured guidance from Sensei ...
Here's a passage that touches me and never fails to inspire me when I'm down. It's from a great friend of Sensei, Mr. Chingiz T. Aitmatov, a Russian writer. Many of you may know him. He wrote in the preface to the dialogue with Ikeda Sensei:
"The theme of the preface can be best explained as “Beside SGI President
Ikeda’s Bonfire.” I am a traveler seeking the Way in life. In my search, I have
discovered a warmly glowing light.
I found that that light was actually a bonfire. And I discovered somebody
sitting beside that bonfire. I went toward him and saw that he was President
Ikeda. [Though I was anxious whether he would allow me to sit beside the
fire,] I greeted him. Then he asked me, “Just where have you been wandering
all this time?” I answered, “Mine has been a long and steep road. I have met
with many incidents and accidents along the way. I have tasted the pain of
life. And now I have met you. I have finally found the person I had been
seeking.” So saying, I went closer to President Ikeda."

Treasured guidance from Sensei ...
(第二总东京最高干部协议会SGI会长的讲话（上）2008 4 月5 日)
"希望各位努力鼓励、培育新人才，让他们成长，同时自身也以焕然一新的气息开始
新的前进。
焦点是「青年」，能构筑起多大的青年阵容，广宣流布的未来就有多大的发展。这
是方程式。
希望大家为培育青年，抱持青年的心，与青年一道爽朗地扩展团结之环，堂堂地妆
点胜利的5 月3 日。”
"广宣流布取决于「人」。
领导认真、拼命奋斗的话，整体也会生气勃勃地迈向发展的方向。
相反，如果领导摆架子、光指使人自己却不做事的话，组织里则无法产生喜悦，人
人也没精打采。”
"今天，为了建设新时代的创价学会，想和大家确认最根本、最重要的四个要诀：
第一是「祈求」；
第二是「行动」；
第三是「异体同心」；
第四是「师弟不二」。
这四点是开启无上人生的胜利力量。”

"首位抵达南极的挪威探险家阿蒙森（Roald Amundsen）说：「如果在行动上，不能
抱持更远大的梦想，就不能说我们对人生是忠实的。」
「生为人就必须奋战；凭借奋战我们的人格得以完成。」
诚如所言。为了广宣流布这最伟大的目的「持续奋战」，才能步上一生成佛此人之
生命究极完成的轨道。”
"希望诸君，能明白此深厚的师弟不二之道。如果忘却师弟之道，立场愈伟大则其恶
亦更大。
无须虚荣矫饰，这些是背离慈悲的姿态。
什么样的人最伟大？为了法、为了人，拚命折伏，为鼓励会友奔走，此种人最伟
大。
有名声，有社会地位，这些与信仰完全无关。
即使默默无闻，没有华丽的聚光灯照射，仍为广宣流布真诚行动的庶民，学会永远
站在这些人的一边。”

Crawford Discussion Meeting'08It's always wonderful to attend discussion meeting and having exchange and hearing great testimonials and breakthrough of our fellow members!
SGI Atlanta Youth Prayer Toso
At Atlanta (in the state of Georgia), they hold weekly youth prayer meeting
(also know Toso) and on this 4th Sunday, Ikeda Sensei Guidance at the 18th
HQ Meeting was shown. The chanting lasted an hour and it was very
marvellous as everyone chanted with unison and wholeheartedly, so vibrant,
so energetic, pouring all our life into each single Nam-myoho-renge-kyo as
if chanting together with Ikeda Sensei! Various thoughts emerged as the
chanting "blaze" on: Ikeda Sensei cherished dreams for all Youth to rise to
be the pillar, for SGI-USA to lead in worldwide kofu & for Singapore to lead
Asia Kofu! Do I have the same dream, the same heart as Ikeda Sensei?

Learning from Ikeda Sensei's Guidance at 18th HQ Meeting
1) The blossoming of Yoshino Cherry at Toda Memorial Park in Atsuta
Many years back, Ikeda Sensei have the wish to adorn Toda Memorial
Park with Toda Sensei's favorite Yoshino Cherry. However, then no one
ever planted Yoshino Cherry in Atsuta, Toda Sensei's home town. It's
deemed impossible by experts and many others to grow this Yoshino
Cherry since Atsuta is too cold for this cherry.
Even leaders persuaded Ikeda Sensei to give up on this dream, but there
is this one member, Tadashi Sasaki, he took on this challenge and after
10 years in May 2008 of hardships & persistency, the Yoshino Cherry
trees blossom among the 8000 cherry trees planted in the park in Atsuta!
Furthermore, Mr Sasaki is still active in the forefront of kofu despite an
advance age of 80! Salutation to Sasaki- San! Truly manifesting the spirit
of the oneness of mentor & disciple, the mentor dream, the disciple mission!
2) There is no greater youth, no greater life than one dedicated to the
profound mission of Bodhisattva of the Earth! A life dedicated to Kosen
Rufu is great!
3) The side that fight with the most determination will wins!
Whether one win or defeat depends on one's determination
4) What is the most important thing in life & faith?
It is CONVICTION! Dedicate your life wholeheartedly for kofu, it's important
to have confidence and conviction in all areas of your life, be it study, at
workplace, in family and in marriage life.
5) The spirit of a genuine disciple is to actively learn from one's mentor
based on faith.
6) Leaders need to strive vigorously and dynamically day after day,
constantly rejuvenating themselves!
Let's constantly have refreshing ideas for our discussion meeting & kofu
activities!
Definitely there are many more pointers that we could learn from this HQ
meeting, and the list can go on and on and on... The most important thing
is to cherish the same heart, the same dream, manifest the same action &
determination and spirit as our belove mentor! Let's start now!

"伟大的科学家爱因斯坦博士曾说过：「我的永远，就是现今这一瞬间。」佛法说一
念三千。「现今，这一瞬间」之一念，也含括了「永远的胜利」、「三世的功
德」。
在任何时刻，只要能重返清新决意的一念，我等生命中就会赫赫升起元旦的旭日。
在怀抱「不老不死的妙法」之心中，会脉动着任何事物也无法令其衰灭的「永远元
初的大生命力」。
日莲大圣人对青年门下南条时光说：「总之，人生必有一死」「既同是一死也，
何不为法华经而死！」（1645页）。
人生就是奋战。既然如此，现今更要兴起无悔、不灭的奋战。朝向充实自身与
欢喜的颠峰，踏出崭新的一步。
大圣人说示：「每自作是念之悲愿。」（御书487页）如何作才能够救助众生，使
其迅速成佛？佛经常都祈愿这一点。"
"如本佛所说「每自作是念之悲愿」，为了民众的幸福，与三类强敌奋战，毫不间断
为广宣流布师子奋迅的学会，作为世界宗教大大展翅遨翔。"
"学会是奋战的师子之阵容，因此学会彻底胜利过来。"
"举目瞭望，光荣的「创立八十周年」、「创立百周年」、甚至「末法万年尽未来
际」的伟大山脉在等待着我们。
那是回响着民众胜利欢声的伟大人才之希望的大山脉，也是飒爽的青年荣光之大山
脉，更是辉耀和平、文化的胜利大山脉。
我等同志们！让我们一起飒爽地攀登「广宣流布的最高峰」吧！"

My Deepest Gratitude to Ikeda Sensei!For these 3 years, I had the good fortune to travel abroad on 5 biz trips and every time a different city! Each visit, I make it a point to visit our SGI centres in that particular city. These travels allowed me to meet and learn from members of SGI-USA Denver, SGI-Hong Kong, SGI-USA San Antonio, SGI-HQ Tokyo, SGI-USA San Franscico, SGI-USA Altanta!
Today I joined the SGI Atlanta North West Youth Picnic! Yuki, SUA student, asked me, "Do you have friends in Atlanta? My answer is simple and with deepest gratitude, "Actually no! Thanks to Ikeda Sensei, I do have friends here, and they are all Ikeda Sensei's friends(disciples)!"
This year 2008, the 20th anniversary of Ikeda Sensei's first visit to Singapore, it's just the right time to repay our debt of gratitude to our beloved mentor and bring together more than 500 members & friends to such a wonderful and joyous gathering! Yes, let's this 21st September 2008 be a victorious and wonderful gathering of many many happy people and the actualisation of the path of true disciple!
it's now 12.35 am 27th July, just back from the Dist 5 discussion mtg. Great meeting with wonderful theme -- "the heart of mentor and disciple is one". It prompted us to ponder and renew our determination to advance together with our mentor.
The 9.21 Crawford Friendship Gathering is yet another platform for us to deepen our M&D bond and share this wonderful NMHRGK to many others. Also, to create another page of victorious history in our path of disciple.

《法华经》的前半十四品为「迹门」、后半十四品为「本门」。
来到了本门，冲破大地的地涌菩萨踊而跃出，在此首次阐明了释尊的伟大境界。那
就是「永远持续奋战的佛」之本地。为了回应师匠，久远的直系弟子‧地涌菩萨，
立誓要在末法永远广宣流布。
师与弟子是否能让「永远持续奋战的生命」辉耀不已，这就是《法华经》本门与迹
门最大的差异。
就此意义来看，誓愿「永远的师弟共战」的弟子们奋起，创造大获全胜的时代，这
就称为创价的「本门的时代」。

Well, now is the 千载难逢的广宣流布之时已经到来 -- 创价「本门时代」此壮大的
「广布的第二幕」... 誓愿「永远的师弟共战」的弟子们奋起，创造大获全胜的本门
时代 . Everything depends on the disciples! It's our heart and action that count!

"「为何要登山？」
「因为那里有山！」
这是挑战世界最高峰额菲尔士峰、英国最伟大的登山家马洛里（George
Mallory, 1886-1924）凝结其热情所说的话语。"
"登山家马洛里最初立志要攀登世界最高峰额菲尔士峰，是在1920年代。"
"马洛里曾三度挑战标高八千八百五十公尺高的额菲尔士峰。最后一次挑战时，与同
行者失去联络（1924年）；七十五年后才发现他的遗体，就在高度约八千二百公尺
处，头朝着山顶，两手还好似抓着山壁的姿态。
即使快死了，还是要攀登最高峰，相信感受到他壮烈坚持的信念者，不只我一人
吧！
这种不屈的一念，深深被1953年最初登上最高峰的希拉里（Edmund Hillary）氏等,
后继的登山家们所承继。
马洛里说出并留下自己的信念：「道路越是艰辛、越是危险，胜利就越丰
硕。」
日莲大圣人教示：「悦哉！任经文而待『五五百岁，广宣流布』。」（御书1609
页）。
遵照本佛的心意，创造出一阎浮提广宣流布之「时」者，到底是谁呢？就是创价的
师弟。
我的恩师户田城圣先生就任第二代会长不久，就高声宣言千载难逢的广宣流布之
时已经到来。
「立下不自惜身命的宏愿，立于强力进行大折伏的大确信，感受到生存之喜悦，笔
直地走在成佛的大道上，这是多么的幸福啊！」
如今再次让我们抱持满溢的喜悦，打开可说是创价「本门时代」此壮大的「广布
的第二幕」。"

Our Letter to MentorHi all treasured brothers and sisters,
Here is our letter to our beloved mentor in April this year ...
敬爱的池田恩师与夫人，
您好。恭贺恩师您获颁第560个名誉市民奖！我们为此感到非常荣幸与喜悦万分。
今年是恩师与夫人到访新加坡的20周年，也喜逢恩师您的80大寿。在这意义深远的
“广布第二幕”,“人才与扩大”的一年, 我们决意以支部口号，“狮子奋迅.果断，决
胜”, 全力培育“一骑当千”，贯彻师弟精神的后继青年，并且为扩大折伏，奋战
到底，留下胜利的历史。
我们支部在过去三个月以来，全心全意地掀起和启动了折伏与推广学会刊物奋战。
在3月16日, 我们的壮妇部全心的支援了青年部3.16 - 50周年纪念活动。
在今年9月,新加坡创价学会将举办全国各支部总会。我们的支部总会将在9月21日在
总部的池田文化礼堂举行, 目标聚集500位“地涌菩萨”。
我们已经启动了总会策划和筹备。这次是由我们的青年部负责率领总会执行小组。
我们衷心的期盼恩师与夫人能出席和参与这大欢喜的喜悦聚会。
我们也开始了每月的支部奋战题目会和家访，并参与了所有会员一起奋战。 我们一
起同心的祈求，聚集在一起分享体验和学习恩师在关西奋战时所分享的御书精要。
我们也检讨了奋战进度与进行汇报。
今年，我们决意明确和彻底的获取胜利, 以回报恩师并与您汇报我们的胜利。 请恩
师您持续地守望着我们的成长。
我们永远衷心的祈愿恩师与夫人您每日的安康,长寿与每日奋斗的大成功。

"成佛的道路也是相同，雖然我們師弟相隔遙遠，又居住在充滿苦惱的穢土，但心同
是在成佛世界的靈山，以此教示師弟不二之心。”
"《法华经• 化城喻品》第七有此名句：「在在诸佛土、常与师俱生。」
意思是师与弟子总是诞生在同一个世界，为广布彻底奋战。"
"因为师与弟子都是为了「广宣流布」此本源誓愿而活。而这本源誓愿正是佛的大
愿，是菩萨从事利他行的原动力。
佛法的师弟终生贯彻让民众幸福此誓愿，所以也是共同奋斗的同志。"
